Highlights or Balayage?
Not sure which one you want? Most people aren't, and that's what the consultation is for. Here's the short version.

Placed in foils
Foil Highlights
- Even, defined brightness starting close to the root
- Best for going noticeably lighter or brightening all over
- Grows out with a more visible line, so plan on regular refreshes

Painted by hand
Balayage
- Hand-painted for a soft, natural, sun-kissed finish
- Blends into your natural root with no harsh regrowth line
- Lower maintenance, so you can usually go longer between visits
Many of our favorite results are a blend of both: foils for brightness around the face, balayage for softness everywhere else.

Color FAQs
How much do highlights and balayage cost?
Balayage starts from $190, partial highlights from $170, and full highlights from $220. Pricing varies with stylist experience, hair length, and density, and we confirm everything during your consultation before we begin.
Do I need a consultation before balayage or highlights?
Yes. For balayage, highlights, and major color changes, we recommend a consultation to look at your hair's condition and history, agree on goals, and plan a safe approach. Color consultations are free.
What's the difference between highlights and balayage?
Highlights are placed in foils for even, defined brightness from the root. Balayage is painted by hand for a softer, more natural sun-kissed look that grows out gradually. Many clients get a blend of both, and we'll recommend what fits your goals.
How often will I need to come back?
It depends on the technique. Traditional highlights grow out with a more visible line, so they need refreshing more often. Lived-in balayage grows out softly, so you can usually go longer between visits. A gloss in between keeps your tone fresh.
Can you fix box dye or color I'm unhappy with?
Yes. Color correction starts from $300 and is always planned during a consultation, since it can take more than one visit to get your hair where you want it safely.
How do I keep my blonde from turning brassy in the Florida sun?
Sun, salt water, and chlorine all pull color toward brass. A gloss between appointments, a toning shampoo, heat and UV protection, and rinsing after the pool or beach make a big difference. We'll recommend products for your shade.
